A perfect combination: 2 Firefox plugins that enhance the iStylr
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008Today I’d like to point you to two great Firefox plugins that I highly recommend to everybody using the iStylr.
The first one is called IE View Lite. IE View Lite adds a button and a menu-item to open a certain page in Internet Explorer. The great thing about this plugin is that you can setup sites that should always open in IE. This is so great because you can set it up to show the template preview page of the iStylr to always open in Internet Explorer. This makes it really comfortable to check your template for x-browser compatibility.

- FireFox 2: addons.mozilla.org/…/1429 (look for V1.31)
The second plugin is called ColorZilla and is a color picker integrated into firefox. It really helps when referencing colors used in the page. Here’s what the author says:
With ColorZilla you can get a color reading from any point in your browser, quickly adjust this color and paste it into another program. You can Zoom the page you are viewing and measure distances between any two points on the page. The built-in palette browser allows choosing colors from pre-defined color sets and saving the most used colors in custom palettes. DOM spying features allow getting various information about DOM elements quickly and easily. And there’s more…
